I remember losing a pair of hurraches at the beach years ago. I was at Robert Morris state park(?) Had to ride a bus to the long island railroad, got stuck on a disel train that stunk like pee and stale beer and walk through penn station barefoot. I was totally broke and spent my last $5.00 on a cab to 31st and lex.(back in the days when a cab ride was roughly $5.00 including tip to pretty much anywhere in Manhattan). Yikes on the shoes.
