I’m going to take a break from today’s regularly scheduled day-before-Huck’s-birthday-festivities-with-Aunt-Jeni to tell one final five year old anecdote.  For some time now Huck has declared that his dream come true in life is to lie down in bed between his mommy and daddy.  We can be resting, reading, singing, telling stories, cuddling, what have you.  He just needs to be in between the two of us and he’s the happiest.  Aunt Jeni arrived on Friday and during dinner the subject of dreams come true came up and I said, “Huck, tell Aunt Jeni your dream come true!”  All eyes were on him as he sat up straight and very quickly answered, “Walking on a rainbow.”

Is this what it means to be six?  Because that’s going to be harder to arrange.
