Let me explain the drawing. We asked Aunt Jeni over the phone what she would suggest and she said something like, “Me sitting at my desk surrounded by beautiful pictures as I talk to a patient about healthy eating.” Next thing I know I’m sitting at our kitchen table posing for Huck just like I used to do for my artist dad when I was a kid. You see the two smiling faces on the wall? That’s a picture of cousins Noah and Lily. Do you see the smoke coming out of the top? It turns out the picture was catching fire while Aunt Jeni was helping people eat better.
Didn’t see that one coming.
Oh no! What good does eating healthy do if you die in a fire?? Chocolate chip pancakes and a double order of bacon over here, garçon!!
Hmmm, Jeni, take better care of your pics.

Can I analyze this? Huck wants the picture to be of him. Huck, there is a picture of you in my office! Oh the jealousy between my kids and my Godson…
But seriously…I’m interviewed often and this was my favorite article ever. I think the illustrations made it.

I like the fact the one she is counseling happens to be a baby. So sweet Aunt Jeni.
I saw the baby, too. (Sweet lil’ thing).
But I thought Jeni’s hair was catching on fire and that a big dr. suess fish was carrying the pictures of lily and noah away from danger.
