On Tuesdays I can be found at Huck’s school helping with recess, lunch and then in his classroom for the last hour and a half, which always reminds me of the place teachers should have in our society.  They should rule it.

Anyway, here’s what I witnessed yesterday: during reading time Huck wanted a certain Magic School Bus book but his friend Isabella was holding it while reading something else.  I watched him trying to convince her to give it to him as she refused over and over.  I then heard him say very passionately, “I ALREADY SAID I WOULD MARRY YOU!  NOW GIVE IT TO ME!” This makes girl #2 in Huck’s class who has been promised marriage.

He never got the book.  I need to talk to him about his bargaining skills.
