Kids can be really helpful sometimes.
A while back there was annoying advertising for the TV show “Skins” on every single subway car in New York. There was a certain actor who for some reason drove me particularly crazy in these pictures; something about the way he posed and smirked for the camera just drove me nuts. So one day I was pointing him out to Troy and complaining when Huck very quietly said that the actor reminded him of someone else. He was embarrassed to say it aloud (for obvious reasons) so he gently whispered into my ear, “Helen Keller.”
There are no words to describe how much this gross, somewhat sleazy seeming character does not in any way resemble Helen Keller, but I will say this: his pictures stopped annoying me. Now they make me giggle.
Thanks, sonny.

Uncanny! Oh Huck, thanks for the laughs. xoxo
I’ve always hated that guy too! His hair makes me want to pull my eyeballs out!
What a wonderful way to start a new day!! Ditto: thank you for the laugh, Huck!!!
Oh, how did I never see the resemblance before? Oh, I laughed right out loud there…

Sometimes when we see thing through the eyes of a six year old, the world seems different for awhile. Too bad more of us don’t think that simply. Hmmmmm.
Come to think of it, we OLD people do…things cycle I guess.
