Huck was the only six year old in New York City (and perhaps America) without a scooter of his own, but thanks to some birthday money he is now the proud owner of a green Razor.  (He wanted pink but changed his mind when we sadly told him he may get teased.  And beat up.)   Thanks to someone leaving behind an old beat up scooter at the church a while back and refusing to claim it, Troy is able to ride next to Huck.  (So am I if ever Troy’s not looking and I can sneak a turn.)  I’m not sure which of us had more fun on our scooter outings this last weekend: Huck happily riding around with his dad and best friends, Troy riding around as a horrible villain named Scatman Scooter Man who makes the loudest most awful sound you ever heard while squatting as police children chase him, or me left behind to giggle uncontrollably at my absurd husband.

Everyone needs a Troy.

Oh delightful! The video of Scat Scooter Man made me giggle uncontrollably. I don’t know if the world could handle a Troy in all families. Think how loud it would be! But I’m glad there is one in my family.

Love your green scooter Huck! You already look like a pro!

Delightful, indeed!! I think this should be a part of Obama’s re-election campaign: A TROY FOR EVERY FAMILY!! What a happy country it would be.
