We Schremmers are growing a bit stir crazy in our sweet, memory-filled little apartment, complete with a new and loud upstairs neighbor who stomps back and forth very quickly like some kind of part Bear/part Man in a really big hurry. Before him it was the kind drug addict Donald who apparently dropped large bags of marbles occasionally. (Oh, Donald, how we miss you!) I know in the great scheme of things these are small piddly problems, but boy do I hope we move soon. I’m literally fantasizing about packing everything up into boxes while getting teary eyed at the thought of Huck taking his first steps over here and becoming potty trained over there … I want to get teary eyed! I want to miss this place! Anyway, thank goodness for the river across the street and the beautiful fall weather. Getting out and taking walks among the beauty of it all reminds us how good we have it.
Here are a few pictures from an after-dinner walk a few days ago …

Yep, you Schremmers have got it pretty darn good — in more ways than one! What a delightful walk — and in JACKETS!!!!!
Apartment living can make you stir crazy – elephants living above you, aspiring tuba-ist further above, opera diva to the left, colic-y infant to the right and the obligatory car alarm going off on the street below. There are those days, nights, weeks and then somehow they get balanced with the walk in the park, the walk along the river and the walk around the pieced together monastery on the hill. If things get even to awful for the balm of these to soothe take to the Bolt to Baltimore and we’ll ply you all with Fall foliage, crab-cakes, some roller derby and maybe even a jump in a pile of leaves!
Beauteous Washington Heights!
Wow! Washington Heights is so beautiful…amazing views from your neighborhood. And yes, loud neighbors are the pits. Hoping for peaceful, quiet evenings for the Schremmers! xoxo
