Another wonderful Harvest Festival has come and gone, and this one was particularly special because it was the last for those of us moms who took it over four years ago from the originators.  We miraculously found a new team of parents with younger children who are ready for the challenge of organizing a gigantic neighborhood event, and though we’ll still be very involved next year the majority of work will be done by the new team.  I’m looking forward to spending the whole afternoon with Huck and Troy collecting plastic prizes, decorating homemade cupcakes, and eating as many free apple cider donuts as we can, sans fanny pack.

Now time to pack up some boxes.  Happy Fall!
