And next came Halloween!  Somehow Troy found time to fulfill Huck’s request for a Volcano costume.  Due to the time involved in this endeavor, he quickly announced that he would not be making a matching costume for himself.  After a parental conference the two of us declared we would be Huck’s volcanologists, which is a much easier costume to throw together, especially if you embrace the ridiculous idea that a white lab coat would be an appropriate thing to wear when out in the elements studying volcanos.  (The bike helmets and plastic green goggles, however, are perfectly accurate.)  We may have been the drowsiest trick or treating paraders that Washington Heights has ever seen, but we did score exactly 100 pieces of candy (minus the ones we ate on the road).

This visual artist is super impressed. Check out that volcano costume compared to all those ho-hum ones! Somebody has vision!! Love it.

I was a Kleenex box for Halloween once. I really do think everyone needs to have tissue paper shooting out of the top of their head at least once in life. There is nothing else like it, right Huck?
