While I was out of town Huck and Troy enjoyed Muscota’s all-school ice skating trip to Wolman Rink in Central Park.  Since I took the camera with me, there are no photographs of this event.  However, I did find this little gem in Huck’s backpack yesterday.  First, his writing about the experience …

And then his drawing.  That is one big ice skate.

I love that ice skate! And so glad Huck was able to skate smoothly…after a little practice and nourishment!

All it takes is a little lunch, and then you’re able to glide smothly with your huge ice skate over large brown spiky things!! Wonderful!!

I like the jagged edges underneath him. Like if he falls it’s really going to hurt!

His drawing is very life-like. I kept encouraging him to bend his knees but he mostly just skidded along with very straight legs and very, very big skates.

The fact that my grandson,Huck, likes to express himself by writing makes me happy. He will be able to express himself AS HE BECOMES AN ADULT. What a gift that is. Way to go huck- I love you, GRANDMA HOTDOG.
