A Re-historical Question: A question that doesn’t really require an answer.
Accupunctured: When something or someone has been punched very hard.
Tatter-tailing: When someone witnesses someone else hitting someone and then tells the teacher on that someone. It is not tatter-tailing if you are the one who gets hit and tells the teacher. That is just good common sense.
Woeing: Somewhere between crying and whining. It’s very serious and needs immediate attention.
I’d like the Roman Numeral 8 please.: a perfectly normal request for the birthday party face painter.

Oh delightful! And he’s not normal…have you met his parents??? He’s wonderfully weird and creative!

LOVE IT! I’m going to try some of these in class — especially “woeing.” Happy almost VIIth birthday, Huck!!!
PLEASE NOTE: woeing happens right before crying, when water wells up in your eyes and you feel like you’re going to cry any second. DO NOT MAKE LIGHT of a child woeing child.
